Butler-Teams 

The Butler Teams Competition takes place on the last Tuesday of each month of the year except where there's a clash with some other event (please check the program).  Unique to the Monday Club, it is both a Butler-scored pairs competition and a teams event.    The first (arrow-switched!) round, in which pairs play their team mates counts for the Butler pairs only.   The remaining rounds constitute a pairs movement counting for both competitions.   A half table can be accommodated -  results against the phantom pair's 'team mates' count only for the Butler pairs.

Each individual Butler Pairs event is decided on net IMP total, while each individual teams event is based on VPs.    Final ranking in the two overall competitions will be determined on on a pairs/ teams best four performances using the Club's normal Competition points basis (1 CP for each pair/team you beat less 1 CP for each pair/team that beats you).

EBU Master Points:   Awarded for the Butler Pairs competition, together with ranking points for the overall results.

Overall Prizes:      Butler Pairs (per pair)    1st £30,    2nd £20,    3rd £10.
